Action Steps for
Witnessing Discrimination
  1. First, tell the harasser “STOP” or “it’s not okay” when you are uncomfortable about harassment happening in front of you or to you.

  2. Anyone who witnesses or becomes aware of potential instances of sexual harassment should report it to a supervisor, manager or designee.

  3. It is unlawful for an employer to retaliate against you for reporting suspected sexual harassment or assisting in an investigation.

  4. You may be asked to complete a written testimony of the incident you witnessed or have become aware of (depending on the severity).
